WHY CHOOSE US

We're passionate about creating dog wear that expresses their unique personalities. It all started when I was given a gift for my dog Kelly for Christmas. It was a green and brown reindeer outfit with faux horn, a cute little red coat and a spikey green felt collar.

Kelly wore the outfit largely indoors, and every time I saw the outfit on her it made me fall over with laughter. She looked so cute and endearing. Over time we discarded the rest of the outfit. But, we kept spikey green felt collar which reminded me of a court jester. Almost all the dog owners would stop and smile and comment and the collar and would ask “Where did you get that collar from?

It was at this time I thought to myself wouldn't it be great to come up with a range of colourful playful dog collars, not collars you would use to attach a dog lead to, but outfits your dog would wear alongside their original dog collar that will bring out the humour and playful, fun side of your dog?”

Having learnt how to sew from the age of 13, making doll clothes with my mum, I soon came up with a creative and innovative range of decorative dog collars. Each was designed to expose and accentuate a dog’s individuality. Some designs are quirky, some are eccentric, and others are elegant and stylish, but all of them are made with attention to detail and with your pet in mind.

Largely created from robust acrylic felt fabric, which is soft, durable, and easy to clean.

I found that whenever Kelly wore the collars, it made other dog owners instantly smile. I also noticed she loved wearing the collars because she would be given more attention, and she loved being the centre of attention. That is how my Doggie Wear was founded. Out of a desire to make dogs, large or small expose their playful side whilst displaying what makes them so unique and special.

I’m excited about creating. new one-of-a-kind dog wear that captures the imagination. Why? Because when I was 14 it was a toss-up between whether to become a lawyer or a fashion designer. I have no regrets in choosing to become a lawyer. It gave me an opportunity to learn new things, discover new talents I didn’t know I had. But it did not quench my desire to use my hands to create something amazing.

I guess I’ve always been about exposing the individualism of people, by creating usual clothes, and now I get to do it with pets. I have a real passion and energy for what I do, because I love creating something out of nothing. I love the idea of transforming things, building things, and then standing back and saying that looks intriguing.

And I love working with animals because they deserve to be cherished and celebrated for having their own uniqueness. They each have their own personality and my goal is to match your pet with clothes that bring out their style. It’s about celebrating the beauty of animals that bring so much happiness.

When I look at my dog Kelly wearing my Doggy Wear, I see the mischievous and mystical furry person. It makes me so happy; I can’t help but smile, and what’s so noticeable about it is that it’s infectious. So, when other pet lovers see Kelly, she instantly brings a smile to their faces, because they see what makes her so distinct. It’s a really powerful thing, the ability to extenuate the humour and magic of what makes your pet. And for it to be recognized by others is even more arresting.
